Missions

The Missions group is currently focused in three areas:

Acts Fellowship supported missionaries

We currently support four missionaries. Two missionary families are in front line ministries to unreached people groups, one in China and one in Indonesia. A third is involved with leadership training and networking leaders of ministries throughout Asia, with an emphasis on India. The fourth is building connections with a number of different ministry efforts, whose focus is primarily directed toward Korea and Northern China.

In addition to prayer and financial support, we send a Christmas gift each year and host each missionary for a weekend whenever they are home on furlough.

If you would like to become involved in this missionary support ministry, please let us know (pastor@actsfellowship.org)

Harvest International Ministries (HIM)

We joined the HIM network in 1999. This network was established by Harvest Rock Church, led by Che Ahn, in 1996. This global network links like-minded churches and ministries. HIM seeks to impact the nations through church planting, missions, networking of leaders, and a sharing of resources.

There are churches and networks in HIM from all over the world.

  • North America - United States and Canada
  • Latin America - Brazil, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Peru
  • Africa - Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe
  • Europe - Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Switzerland
  • Asia - India, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Turkey
  • Australia

HIM distributes a monthly newsletter as a practical means of keeping network members abreast of revival and the work of God in our stream of influence around the world. You can read some of the recent letters by following this link: HIM Monthly Newsletters

Acts Fellowship participates in the HIM network through prayer, financial contributions, linking directly with selected missionaries, participating in short-term mission trips, and attending conferences.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about HIM, please contact Pastor Rob (pastor_rob@actsfellowship.org)

Toronto Urban Ministries

We presently contribute to the support of three urban ministries in Toronto. We believe that caring for the needs of the underprivileged in our city is a wonderful opportunity and an important duty as disciples of Jesus. For more information on these urban ministries, please visit their websites.

In addition to financial support, several Acts members are involved in these ministries, directly serving with their time and talents.

If you would like to know more about how Acts Fellowship is involved in these ministries, please contact Pastor Rob (pastor_rob@actsfellowship.org)

United We Stand - Hillsong
In a word, this CD is “awesome”!  If you’re looking for a good, all around CD that has a bit of everything, this is it.  It’s got some great, high energy worship, with songs of more intimate praise as well as moments of “selahs”, where you’re just being still before God... read more

The Roots of Endurance is a challenging and thought-provoking book.  It tells of the strength that three heroes of history evidenced in the face of difficulty.  John Newton, Charles Simeon, and William Wilberforce.  But this book is not a brief biography of these men.  It is, instead, a study in how they dealt with the difficulties each faced... read more

How to Pray for Healing
“Bible-believing Christians certainly acknowledge that God is all-powerful. They use, without hesitation, the theological term “omnipotent” when describing God. However, we in [North] America sometimes have a difficult time bringing a practical application of this belief into our daily lives. Even in life-giving churches, the great majority of members rarely, if ever, see sick people instantly healed when they pray for them... read more

The Case for Faith
Many of us have been confronted about our faith and the claims made in God's Word.  We try our best to answer questions and rebut any erroneous claims, but we may sometimes get frustrated by our inability to provide a satisfactory response to some of the tougher questions... read more

Is That Really You, God?
Have you ever questioned yourself on hearing God's voice, whether it is for a life changing decision or a passing thought?  Have you ever been inches away from your goal and wondered,  "Is this really you, God?"  If so, then... read more
