 Robin Mark and Hosanna! Music present their latest release, Revival in Belfast, a spirited compilation of live worship sets from Northern Ireland. This CD explodes with the sound of Celtic harmonies, melodies and traditional instruments, but it also bears the unmistakeable sound of praise.
Robin Mark's honest and heart-felt lyrics convey a deep and passionate intimacy with the Lord, and he stirs up the imagination as he paints his prophetic words about our God. One cannot help but feel the excitement and anticipation about the Christian walk of faith when singing such songs as Revival, You’re the Lion of Judah and Days of Elijah. There are also songs by other noted songwriters as Jamie Harville, Lynn DeShazo and Martin Smith included on this CD.
I had the privilege of hearing Robin speak at one of his workshops at a WorshipTogether conference this summer. From the outset, it was so clear to me that this man is a man who is totally committed and passionate about Jesus. The way he spoke exhibited a kindness and tenderness of heart that is rare, as well as a joyous sense of humour, and it is this very heart that he pours into his songs. Perhaps that is why his song Jesus, All For Jesus always moves me to the brink of tears and brings me to a place of deeper commitment to the One I love, because of the heart and the spirit behind the words. There is something to the way Robin Mark sets his lyrics that speaks so clearly and directly into the heart, with no regard for national or political boundaries.
There is also something to the Celtic sound that makes one aware of the grandness and splendour of God, nature and all His wonderful creation. The use of bagpipes, windpipes and pennywhistles delivers a refreshing change from more typical worship arrangements. Revival in Belfast will bring out a revival in your own heart as Robin Mark leads you in worship of the Lord.
