Imagine, if you will, that it's the end of the day, you are tired and in deep need of a refuge from life's pressures. Psalm 5:11 says, "But let all who take refuge in You [the Lord] be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You." You may be wondering, "sounds good, but how do I get there?"
For a number of years, it's been a quest of mine to know how to press in to enter that 'rest' that is spoken of in the Book of Hebrews, chapters 3 and 4; to 'hide' under the 'shadow of His wing' (Psalm 17:8); to be in the 'secret place where His glory dwells'.
Rita's music comes from that 'place', in the presence of the Most High - and it draws me there, every time. Whether in my headphones, or letting the music fill the room, there is a spirit to Spirit connection with the One my soul loves and I am once again in the 'secret place'.
There are several ways in which I listen to this CD. One is where I am just passive, taking it all in, and letting my spirit be nourished and filled. Another is where I begin to join in agreement with the deep truths of God's character and relationship with us that simply pour forth in gentle waves. And yet another is where I sing along with all of my heart because the music is expressing exactly what I want to say to the Lover of my soul.
If your quiet times are in need of an overhaul, this CD is surely a remedy. Or, if you like praying or entering in to intercession while worship music is playing, I have found 'Created to Worship' to be quite suitable.
If it's His rest or refuge you are seeking to find, I can say with confidence that 'Created to Worship' will take you there.
