Troy and Theresa Goode are our Family Camp speakers this year. They are founders and co-pastors of New Dimension Church in Providence, Rhode Island. After serving in Boston for 10 years, they established New Dimension Church in 2008. They desire to see people relentless in their pursuit of God's presence, to serve as His agents on the earth. They are U.S. Ambassadors for The Father's House Trust, an organization committed to confronting the epidemic of fatherlessness. Their church is the New England regional host of Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI). Troy and Theresa's passion is to see people hungry to know the ways of God and broker heaven on earth. They were married in October 1994 and have two children, Troy Jr. and Maya.
The Acts Fellowship Family Camp will start on Thursday, August 16 and continue through Sunday morning, August 19. You also have the option of coming up as you are able during the camp and still take advantage of this annual time to hear good teaching, worship, pray, fellowship and have fun together. We are returning to the YMCA Geneva Park. It is in the Lake Simcoe area; about 90 minutes north of Toronto with many amenities for the whole family. The food is awesome and there are many opportunities to connect with other people.

If you have any questions, or if you have large items for the yard sale that could be difficult to store, please contact Soonil.
The Acts community continues to focus on removing thorns and preparing good soil. This month, we are focusing on stress. Each day, we are taking 5 minutes in the morning to practice giving our cares to God. We will list things that we think could be stressful that day, writing them in a list, and intentionally choosing to give them to God. We are taking five minutes in the evening to practice being thankful for God's love, provision, care, and blessing. Philippians 4:6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
This year, we are contending against the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of riches, and positioning ourselves to produce a hundred, sixty, or thirty times return.
Acts will be celebrating Missions Sunday on May 27. There will be testimonies from some of the team members going on the summer missions trip to Thailand. We will be joining with Christians around the world as part of the Global Day of Prayer. We will pray for our world, the nations, and our those in our spheres of relationship. There will also be a BBQ sponsored by the missions team following the service.
A discussion group of the book of Mark continues. The first meeting of this group will be on Friday, June 15, 7:30pm. We will be discussing Mark, chapter 2. Everyone is welcome to attend, and prior attendance is not required. This Bible discussion group meets periodically. Contact Rob if you have any questions or would like to attend.
Acts Fellowship is having BBQ! It will be held on Sunday, May 27, immediately following the church service. This BBQ is to help raise funds for the Thailand missions trip this summer. The cost per person is $15 for anyone over 10 years, and $10 for the younger ones. Additional contributions to the missions trip are welcome. Bring a friend or invite someone you may not have seen for awhile. If you have any questions or would like to be a part of the planning or serving, please contact Sandy Song.

When you think of fishing, what image comes to mind: a solitary figure with a rod and tackle box, patiently choosing a lure, casting, and reeling? Or a commercial shrimp boat with nets spread wide? Whne Jesus said, "I will make you fishers of men (Mt. 4:19), what kind of fishing did He have in mind? When He called out that first ministry team, was He picturing them as net-fishers or anglers? How to Pray for Healing
“Bible-believing Christians certainly acknowledge that God is all-powerful. They use, without hesitation, the theological term “omnipotent” when describing God. However, we in [North] America sometimes have a difficult time bringing a practical application of this belief into our daily lives. Even in life-giving churches, the great majority of members rarely, if ever, see sick people instantly healed when they pray for them... read more
