    Thought For The Week

Success or failure in business is caused more by the mental attitude even than by mental capacities.  --  Walter D. Scott, business psychologist and writer

    Studies in Luke

Acts Fellowship is studying the Book of Luke together.  The next teaching will cover the section including Luke 19:45 - 20:8.    We will consider several of Jesus' interactions in the temple.  Our goal is to gain a better understanding of Jesus' character and his life practices, so that we can know Him more intimately.  Take some time to read the passage and talk to God about how it applies to your life.

    Acts Fellowship Annual Meeting

The Acts Fellowship annual church business meeting will be held on Sunday, March 7, immediately following the regular Sunday service.  All members are required to attend this meeting.  Those people who regularly attend Acts are welcome to attend as well.  Childcare will be provided.  For more information, please contact the pastors.

    Healthy Choices

Acts is providing periodic links to articles related to health, diet and exercise.  We're reaching the prime productive years and we are starting to deal with the issue of aging parents.  For some, there is also the issue of how we want our children's health to be shaped.  If you are challenged by stress or struggle to relax, the current article talks about  foods to calm you down.  Please remember that Acts Fellowship does not promote any of these articles as being definitive information; consult your health care specialist for personal applications.

    New Book Discussion Group

A new book discussion group is now forming.  The group will be talking about "The Challenge of the Disciplined Life" by Richard Foster.  The first discussion will be on Saturday, February 27.  If you would like to be a part of this discussion group or to find out more details, please contact Pastor Rob.

Equipping Class - Connecting with the Bible

This course is designed to help you regularly interact with the Bible by daily connecting with God through His Word and receiving "rhema" communication from God.  The next class will be on Saturday, February 20, 10:00am at the pastor's home.  Register for course WALK-107 on the website.  If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Rob.

    YSM Volunteer Opportunities

One of the most significant ways that we can demonstrate our love for Jesus is to be involved in mercy ministries, including caring for the poor, the widow, the orphan and those in immediate need.  One place to become involved in this type of ministry is Yonge Street Mission.  This ministry offers many and diverse opportunities to be a blessing to others.  Take a look on the volunteer page of their website.  Yonge Street Mission is a Toronto urban ministry supported by Acts Fellowship.

    Healing Ministry

Do you need physical healing?  The healing team will be available after the service to pray for healing and freedom from physical illness and disease.  The healing ministry day is on the last Sunday of each month.  Come in faith, expecting to receive healing from the Holy Spirit.  If you have a testimony of healing or for more information, please contact Sang.

    Small Group Information

Small Group information can be found on the "Small Group" page.  A map of the city with all of the small group locations is available, as well as e-mail addresses to contact the leaders.  Click here to go directly to the Small Group Information Page.

    Shoulda Coulda Woulda
...every living person has regrets. “If only I worked harder on my project, I could have been promoted”…“If only I had said sorry, then my kids wouldn’t hate me”…“If only I went to graduate school…if only I married him then I would be happy…if only, if only…”.  Do any of these ‘if onlys’ sound eerily familiar?... read more
    United We Stand - Hillsong
In a word, this CD is “awesome”!  If you’re looking for a good, all around CD that has a bit of everything, this is it.  It’s got some great, high energy worship, with songs of more intimate praise as well as moments of “selahs”, where you’re just being still before God... read more

The Roots of Endurance is a challenging and thought-provoking book.  It tells of the strength that three heroes of history evidenced in the face of difficulty.  John Newton, Charles Simeon, and William Wilberforce.  But this book is not a brief biography of these men.  It is, instead, a study in how they dealt with the difficulties each faced... read more

Possessing Your Inheritance is like an easy-to-read roadmap from wherever you are to that most desirable of destinations – namely, your personal, unique inheritance in Christ... read more

    How to Pray for Healing
“Bible-believing Christians certainly acknowledge that God is all-powerful. They use, without hesitation, the theological term “omnipotent” when describing God. However, we in [North] America sometimes have a difficult time bringing a practical application of this belief into our daily lives. Even in life-giving churches, the great majority of members rarely, if ever, see sick people instantly healed when they pray for them... read more

    The Case for Faith
Many of us have been confronted about our faith and the claims made in God's Word.  We try our best to answer questions and rebut any erroneous claims, but we may sometimes get frustrated by our inability to provide a satisfactory response to some of the tougher questions... read more

    Is That Really You, God?
